Stop working around drains to your time and energy

Break through them with an

Operational Tune Up

Do you and your team feel like you’re treading water at work, keeping everything under control but just barely?

You just need a few extra hours in your week to gain momentum and do more of your best work?

I know what that feels like, and it’s not fun. I’ve worked in the nonprofit industry as a board member, volunteer, and staff member for over ten years. No matter what role I served, I performed while consistently feeling behind and like too many demands were preventing me from reaching my highest potential. I knew this wasn’t sustainable, and I suspected the quality of work suffered as a result. So I spent years exploring ways to increase productivity without sacrificing my sanity.

I learned that relatively small shifts in process, practice and organization can make a big difference in how your work week feels.

Imagine This:

  • You’re able to provide a proactive, coordinated effort for recurring projects instead of recreating the wheel every time

  • You and your team are clear on what is most important and have the focus to get it done instead of feeling scattered

  • You can easily find what you’re looking for instead of searching through layers of files

  • Your team seamlessly engages in a practice of reflection and refinement, effortlessly improving all the time

  • You feel organized and have rediscovered joy and creativity in your work

You might be thinking, “Sure, that sounds nice, but I don’t have the capacity to think about how to get there.”

Introducing…..

Schedule your Operational Tune Up and set yourself up for more success next year!

I understand this is a big investment, and I also know that this kind of work will make a huge difference for your team members, your work together, and the world.

The Operational Tune Up is designed to give you flexibility.

A 50% down payment is required after you schedule. After the initial assessment is completed, you’re under no obligation to continue the Tune Up if it doesn’t feel like the right fit.

(In that case, you’ll have a better understanding of how your team is feeling about your work together and a list of ideas to address areas of concerns!)

If you continue, you’ll pay two more installment payments and benefit from hands-on process improvement and coaching that will benefit your team well into the future.

I know how important this work is and I hate for cost to be the only barrier. If you know your team would value this opportunity and you simply cannot afford this price, contact me to see if we can come to an agreement that everyone is comfortable with.

Your team will most benefit from an Operational Tune Up if:

  • You are flexible thinkers willing to experiment

  • The thought of finding a good balance of structure and process for your work feels freeing rather than constricting

  • You are willing and able to spend a few hours a week over the next three months to focus on operations, process and/or work plan improvement

  • You have some level of operational foundation already built, but it could use some refinement and an outsider’s perspective

  • You are a playful bunch who value fun and creativity

This opportunity may not be for you if:

  • Your team has too many set project deadlines and will be too busy to enjoy or focus on this process

  • Most of your team members want to run and scream if they hear the words process, workflow or structure

  • Your team doesn’t really have the mental capacity to experiment with new things right now

  • Your organization is new and doesn’t have much structure for your operations yet. In that case, this package might not be for you, but contact me if you want help designing and organizing your operational foundation!

As a small but mighty team, you are constantly breaking the mold and doing things differently.

Don’t forget to do that for yourselves.

If your current work life feels overwhelming or scattered, don’t settle for the status quo.

FAQs

It seems like we’ll be spending time on this, not freeing up time. What should we expect?

It’s true - this process will require an up front investment of time and focus. Just like any worthy investment, it will be returned to you and then some - plus, it compounds. As you continue applying what you learn through this process, it will become easier and more natural. Soon you’ll start refining your own work processes without giving it a second thought!

I estimate the average time investment to be 3-4 hours a week per team member over the three month period, depending on your needs.

My goal is always to make your work life easier. I work hard to make this process both productive and enjoyable so it feels like time and energy well spent.

Will this benefit a small and mighty team within a bigger organization?

Yes! If you have a relatively autonomous team within a bigger organization, the Tune Up can help your team work better together. Throughout the course of the Tune Up, you may identify some refinements to bigger organizational norms or processes. If those ideas are out of your control for the time being, we can identify alternative actions that are within your control.

What if I’m a team of one - can I work with you on an Operational Tune Up?

Yes! The beauty of being a team of one is you get to make any decisions and adjustments as you see fit.
